Recommended Play
For most efficient time management, all games play to 11 win by 1. To keep play moving when one court finishes first:
Determine if unfinished court is CLOSE = lead team ≥ 9 or total points ≥ 16
If CLOSE, give 2 minutes to finish under normal side out rules, then switch to rally.
If NOT CLOSE, switch immediately to rally.
Rally rules:
Keep current score.
One server per side.
First serve in rally goes to trailing team; if tied, the team that would have received next.
Every rally = point to winner.
Still first to 11, win by 1.
